My name is Chick Chakrian and I am the founder and president of MAX LAX LACROSSE INC.,
which is a lacrosse service organization for children and young adults, specializing in instruction,
clinics and camps for boys and girls in the Long Island, New York metropolitan area. Max Lax Lacrosse
Inc. has been delivering quality lacrosse instruction in private, clinic and camp settings for the past nine
and one-half years.

A brief description of my background:
Education: B.A. Physical Education, Queens College, New York - 1981
M.S. Physical Education, Queens College, New York - 1984
Professional Certificate Diploma in Educational Administration
and Supervision, Brooklyn College, New York - 1990
Profession: Physical EducationTeacher/Coach and Assistant Athletic Director
Experience: currently teaching in the New York City Board of Education for the
the last 28+ years. The last 25 of which have been at Midwood High
School at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York.
Athletic Background: 4 year letterman, Varsity Lacrosse, Queens College, New
York. Goalkeeper. Received Most Valuable Defensive
Player award - 1978, Most Valuable Player award - 1980 and
was an All-American nominee in 1981. Two-year captain.
** All this having never played lacrosse before starting at
Queens College, after all I grew up in Astoria, Queens
playing baseball and ice/roller hockey.
Lacrosse Coaching Background: 1983 - 1985 Queens College, N.Y., Division III
1986+1987 Farleigh Dickinson University,
Teaneck, New Jersey, Division I
1988-1997 Started the Lacrosse Program @
Midwood High School and led it to an
unprecedented 6 City Championship titles.
1997-present I still am involved with the Midwood
Lacrosse Program as the "papa bear", general
manager as I have reduced my role on the field so
I may observe my own children participate in their
football, soccer, lacrosse and basketball seasons,
and to put time into Max Lax Lacrosse Inc. Lacrosse Inc. 2006, started the Girls Lacrosse Program @ Midwood High School. I have navigated this start up girls program to a winning record each year and have made it to the PSAL Semi-finals each of the last two years playing admirably but ultimately losing to the eventual PSAL Champion each year.
Youth Coaching Experience: boys and girls PAL lacrosse teams in East Meadow,
New York between the third and sixth grade levels and
boy's lacrosse tournament teams and indoor lacrosse
over the past several years.
Lacrosse Camp Experience: Besides running my own camps and clinics for the past 12 years I have worked as a coach at Hofstra Lacrosse Camp(2 yrs.) Checkmate Lacrosse Camp (2 yrs.) and Roanoke Lacrosse Camp( 11 consecutive years).
I would appreciate your assistance in helping to promote my lacrosse camps
and clinics. You see I don't advertise in newspapers, local publications or magazines, incl. Lacrosse
Magazine because it is far too cost prohibitive and I would rather put those dollars back into the kids
with additional coaches and counselors, valuable trinkets, prizes and giveaways and a cold soda or two each
day. After all it's all about kids and this great game of lacrosse. Thank you for your time and consideration.
